Soul Land: Awakening World — Beginner Guide

How to start, what to do first, and the early growth loop

New to the Douluo Continent? This beginner guide walks you from your very first login to a clear early-game growth loop — what to do, in what order, and the mistakes to avoid. Everything game-specific here is indicative; confirm details in the live version.

Before you start: accounts & platforms

Awakening World is cross-platform across PC (Steam), iOS and Android, with progress shared on one account — so you can switch devices freely. On Steam you create a third-party 37Games account through the game launcher; bind an email so you can recover and carry your account across platforms.

  • One account = shared progress across PC / iOS / Android
  • Steam: create a 37Games account via the launcher
  • Bind an email early for recovery

Step 1 — Awaken your Martial Soul

Your Martial Soul is awakened at the Spirit Awakening Ceremony and decides your whole path — Beast, Tool or Body form, and ultimately which of the nine function systems you fall into. Pick something whose playstyle you actually enjoy; a Control or Power core is the most forgiving for a first character and for clearing the story.

Step 2 — Understand your class system

Each Martial Soul slots into a function system — Power, Control, Agility, Defense, Support, Healing, Food, Strength or Spirit. That role decides whether you bind, burst, assassinate, tank or sustain. Knowing your role tells you who to team with and what to build toward.

Step 3 — Hunt Spirimon and earn Halos

Venture out to hunt Spirimon (soul beasts). Defeating them lets you absorb Halos and Spiribones — roughly one Halo every ten levels. The age of the beast determines the Halo's colour and strength, which ties directly into the rarity spectrum. Don't punch far above your level: meet the recommended power before opening a hunt.

Step 4 — Set skills & Spiribones

Build around your Halo skills: choose Spiribone slots, line up attribute counters and arrange your loadouts. Then practise the core of non-target combat — dodge-cancel into a heavy hit. A balanced rank, ring set and Spiribone loadout clears content far more smoothly than raw level.

Step 5 — Join an academy or guild

Train at Shrek Academy and the Spirit Temple, run dungeons in parties, and join PvP and cross-server wars on the long road to becoming a Titled Douluo. Social systems are where the mid-and-late game opens up — find a group early.

Beginner tips (indicative)

A few habits that save new players a lot of pain — treat the specifics as indicative and adjust to the live build:

  • Main one stable Power or Control core for the story; keep Support/Heal as backup
  • Learn one character's dodge timing before chasing flashy combos
  • Don't out-level your gear and Halos — keep your build balanced
  • Unlock warp points as you pass them to save time later
  • Defer to the live tier list and banners for who to pull/main
